Shigeto is back on the Ghostly International record label for a 4 song EP. Eschewing computer programming for live playing, ‘Versions’ becomes an exploration of improv jazz.
Good morning Occupied America! I wanted to do a quick blurb on this improv jazz EP by Shigeto off of the International Ghostly label. The electric piano is the standout in my opinion – hearkening back to the days of Joe Henderson’s ‘Black Narcissus’ sessions. I listen to so much electronic music that this one pleasantly caught me off guard.
The vinyl copy sold out on the Bandcamp page but I’m sure you can pick one up at resellers in your area. If not, you can always wait for the Discogs scalpers..
